You just need to visit any centre authorised by Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) and Mobile Standards Alliance of India (MSAI) with your handset and change your IMEI Number at a nominal fee of Rs. 200 only. The Whole process will take you less than half an hour or so. Also you will need to carry an ID proof when you go to change your IMEI number. i.e Your Voter ID card or Driver’s Licence, or PAN Card or Passport etc.

If you are wondering if this new IMEI is genuine or not, you can check it for yourself. Just press *#06# on your phone and then send the new IMEI Number as an SMS to 53232 after your handset has been implanted. For E.g. SMS IMEI xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to 53232 without the quotes where xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is your IMEI number.
