Nokia Battery Monitor 2 is a fantastic utility that takes the guess work out of how much battery life you have left on your Nokia smartphone. We really liked Nokia Battery Monitor 1.3 but while this version works on the same premise it’s a completely different build and comes with a bunch of new features.

You can have Nokia Battery Monitor 2 running in the background on your Nokia E7, or similar Symbian^3 smartphone, or you can opt to have it as a live widget on one of your homescreens. The widget scrolls through the various estimates that can be seen in whole on the main page of the app. It’s a great way of seeing at a glance how much battery life you have left.

Open the app itself and you’ll find it’s built around three distinct pages. The first is the Estimates page, which breaks down into Average, Call (3G), Web, Music, Maps and Camera. There is also a large battery countdown – kind of like the totaliser on Blue Peter but working in reverse – letting you know the overall percentage of battery life left.
